10 nights 3 stars hotels twin share accommodation, meals as specified (B - breakfast, L - lunch, D - dinner), all transportation in air conditioned buses, English speaking tour guides, and all sightseeing.  Special treats included dumpling dinner in Xian, Beijing Roasted Duck Dinner, richshaw ride through one of Beijing's old neighborhoods, and culture exchange program at famous schools.

Day 01     US/China
Board your flight to China today

Day 02     /Shanghai (D)
You will arrive around 2pm and after clearing government formalities, you will meet your local guide and be transferred to your hotel.  Welcome dinner and evening walk in the Bund area and famous Nanjing Road.

Day 03     Shanghai (B/L/D)
Visit Shanghai No. 1 High School attached to East China Normal University.  In the afternoon we will travel to the Old Town with its winding alleyways lined with shops, tea houses and restaurants, and to the elegant and tranquil Yu Garden.  After dinner, enjoy famous Shanghai Acrobatic Show.

Day 04     Shanghai / Tongli / Suzhou (B/L/D)
The morning is at your own leisure.  In the afternoon we will drive to Suzhou, a small town famous for its classic gardens in the south of China and often so called Oriental Venice.  On the way to Suzhou, visit Tongli Town.  Tongli town is the best-preserved water town in Jiangsu Province.  It is located in the east of an ancient canal on the shores of Taihu Lake 18km away from Suzhou city.  Tongli still retains the original Ming and Qing dynasty style of architecture.  In this small town there are 15 crossing rivers with 20 bridges.  Tea houses, shops and traditional homes line the narrow street.  Upon arrival, check in your hotel.

Day 05     Suzhou/Hangzhou (B/L)
Visit the Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill, Cloud Rock Pagoda, Embroidery Research Institute and visit local high school or Children's Palace.  Drive to Hangzhou in the evening.

Day 06     Hangzhou/Xian (B/L/D)
Today we will visit the West Lake.  You will surely appreciate the fabled scenery such as "Broken Bridge", "Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake" and "Three Pools mirroring the Moon".  You will take a short cruise tour on the West Lake.  Then visit to Lingyin Temple, which is among the ten most famous Buddhist temples in China and has a history of over 1,000 years.  If time permits, vist a tea plantation and have a taste of the tea as well as acquaint yourself with the ancient refining process of tea.  Fly to Xian, the capital of 12 dynasties over 1,000 years.  Enjoy dumpling banquet.  Check in your hotel.

Day 07     Xian (B/L/D)
Morning tour to the greatest archaeological finds of the century, more than 2,000 year-old Terracotta Warriors interred with the Emperor Qin Shi Huang.  School visit where you will learn Chinese Calligraphy in the afternoon.  Before taking your overnight train to Beijing, visit Old City Wall, which was constructed 600 years ago.

Day 08     Xian.Beijing (B/L/D)
Arrive in Beijing, the dynamic capital of the People's Republic of China.  Once the imperial city of Mongol, Ming and Manchu emperors, Beijing today is still extraordinarily rich in historical sites and cultural relics.  Visit City Planning Museum, where introduce the long history of the immortal city of Beijing, display the great achievements of the modern urban planning and development, and exhibit the splendid future of beijing's urban development.  You will definitely enjoy and evening walk in Tiananmen Square.

Day 09     Beijing (B/L/D)
Enjoy your visit to a school in Beijing and a Beijing Experimental High School.  Continue to Forbidden City, the vast complex of palaces, which was the home to successive Emperors for more than 500 years.  After lunch, visit Beijing zoo for panda, take a cruise to Summer Palace, one of the most beautiful garden in China.  Dinner at Lao Bei Ping Restaurant, including a Kung Fu show.

Day 10     Beijing (L/D)
Morning tour to the Great Wall, stretching almost 4,000 miles from the Pacific Ocean to the sands of Central Asia and befittingly crowned one of the ten wonders of the world.  We will have lunch at a farmer's restaurant.  In the afternoon, visit Beijing Sport University, where you will find the Garden of Champions, as more than 50 students graduated from this university have won world championship titles, and more than 60 have won Asian championship titles; visiting indoor training gyms adn outdoor sports fields and courts, museum etc.  Drive around the intriguing architecture of the main Olympic venues, the National Stadium (Bird's Nest), where the Opening and Closing Cermonies will be hold, and teh National Aquatics with the nickname of "the Water Cube" (H2O3) of its unique out looking.

Day 11     Beijing (B/L/D)
Walking along the Imperial Park nearby the Forbidden City in the early morning to watch local doing morning exercises, such as playing Taichi, dancing, etc.  After breakfast, visit Temple of Heaven, the 500 year-old Temple houses altars on which sacrifices and offerings wer laid to the gods in a glorious setting of gardens, trees and sculptures.  In the afternoon, take Hutong tour with lunch at local resident's courtyard home.  Visit pearl market if time permits.  Farewell dinner: Beijing Duck Dinner.

Day 12    Beijing/Minneapolis (B)
Free in the morning, visit local market for last time shopping before being transferred to airport for your flight back home.
