Visit the most famous museum in China with this 7 nights, 9 days tour to Beijing and Shanghai

Visit China museum is a great way to learn about China's great history and culture.  In the past, China's qntiauities adn most artworks were kept in the recesses of the residences of aristocractic families and the imperial clan.  The public at large was not able to see them.  Due to China's opening and reform policy as well as to the development of a market economy, travel, tourism, and cultural exchange have greatly increased, China's museums have developed along with these changes: they have been rebuilding and expanding old museums, adding new buildings, increasing collections, modemizing exhibition facilities and strengthening archaeological research.  Most of them are now open to public.


7 nights 4* hotel twin share accommodation, meals as specified (B-breakfast; L-lunch; D-dinner), all transportation in air conditioned buses, train ticket from Beijing to Shanghai (high speed), English speaking tour guides, all sightseeing and entrance fees, special treats include Beijing Roasted Duck dinner, Peking Opera, Acrobatic show in Shanghai and visit to water-town Fengjing.

Day 01  US/China
Board your flight to China today.

Day 02  Beijing
On arrival, you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel.  You will be free for the rest of the day.

Day 03  Beijing (B/L)
A morning seat-in coach tour of Tiananment Square, the largest public square in the world, and the Palace Museum, known as Forbidden City; the complex of imperial palaces are home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties.  Some of the grand halls have been used as museums for fine collections of Chinese treasures.  In the afternoon, you will visit Rosewood Museum, a museum known as a treasure and showroom of Chinese traditional furniture and architecture made of rosewood.

Day 04  Beijing (B/L/D)
This morning you will visit China National Fine Art Museum.  After lunch,  you will be driven to visit the Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family, and take a boat ride on its Lake Kunming.  This evening you will be treated to a delicious Beijing roasted duck dinner.and enjoy the show of Peking Opera.

Day 05  Beijing (B/L)
Your sightseeing this morning is Temple of Heaven, where the Ming and Qing emperors prayed for good harvest.  It is the largest temple complex remaining in China today.  In the afternoon, you will visit China National Art Treasure Gallery.  On the way back to your hotel, you will have a stroll of Liulichang (Glass Street) where you can find lots of Ancient book, painting, jade carving, porcelain, bronze sculpture as well as articles related to China culture.

Day 06  Beijing/Shanghai (B/L)
After breakfast, you are picked up and are transferred to railway station.  You take a 5 hours high-speed train to Shanghai, a cosmopolitan, bustling and heavily populated city in China.  On your arrival, you iwll have lunch on the way to hotel.  This afternoon, your tour guide will show you and have a stroll along the lively waterfront, known as the "Bund", the highlight of Shanghai.

Day 07  Shanghai (B/L/D)
Your sightseeing this morning features a tour of the Yuyuan Garden, the old area of the city.  After lunch, you will visit to Shanghai Fine Art Museum and followed a vist to Tianzifang - a place in Shanghai you must not miss.  Comparing with the brand new modern buildings, you can find the special architecture of old Shanghai city.  Peoples, who lived in Shanghai in the life, still live here.  It's such a peaceful and quiet place to live.  On the other hand, it's also a good shopping area.  There are a lot of beautiful, special and unique goods.  The stores are little, but very characteristic with full of art beauty.  The whole shopping area is not large, but you will enjoy walking here and find out a lot of fun.  When you're tired, you can go to one of the little cafe or bar to have a drink or cake.  An acrobatic show is ready for your evening entertainment after dinner.

Day 08  Shanghai (B/L)
This morning, a tour to Fengjing, where is know as a water/canal town south of Yangtze, where you will visit and apreciate many kinds of local peasant and farmer paintings and you will enjoy yourself in pcituresque south China nature and countryside.

Day 09  Shanghai (B)
You are picked up from hotel and transferred to airport for your departure
